so now that we are officially a club (and soon to be organization) I had an idea for a fundraiser so we can make some moneyz. in a nutshell, we can sell t shirts to the general student body.
Each of us would choose a theme and create a t-shirt design in Photoshop. Each design can be placed in a catalog and we can estimate the price of each t-shirt depending on materials and production cost plus profit. Then we can get permission from ICC to set up a booth manned with club volunteers to take orders from the students. we will have sample t-shirts showcased so people know how the feel and how they look in reality before purchasing (this way we draw attention rather then just have a catalog filled with pictures).
The money we make can either go to help fund us going to GDC next year or as prizes for any competitions we have. What do you guys think?
Loving the idea Tom. Great way to make some money for the club and also a great way to get our name out to the rest of the campus. We would have to think up some categories that would make people want to buy the t-shirts and maybe tie them to the club in some sort.
ReplyDeleteyeah i am all for this because not only can we supply the club with future funding but we can also promote our club and get our name known out there...and the T-Shirt thing doesnt have to be restricted to a one time thing people could always want shirts from the club even when our booth is not setup

ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent way for the group to gain recognition throughout the campus. Plus its great to get everyone involved in an activity that will further develop us all as artists.
